I was really excited to work on this keyart for Handcrafted America. I've been a huge fan of Jill Wagner since her days on "Wipeout." As we approached the project, we wanted to keep Jill's sunny disposition and goofy personality, but we also wanted to portray her as more of a badass. So I started looking for inspiration and came across some darkly lit imagery that struck a chord. I had our sketch artist work on combining Jill with various metals and sparks and fire.

We spent one day with Jill in Los Angeles shooting this concept. Steve Earle was our photographer and he and his team did a fantastic job lighting Jill and giving us the shots that would enable me to composite all the pieces back in the office.

I love the way it all came together and was really happy when Jill gave her approval of all the assets.
